Mobility Improvement assistance by Commission

  • Elimination of 24 PSRs in Mumbai suburban proactively by CRS.

     

  • Raising of speed to 130 kmph in 9957  km  section of IR.

  • Sanction of FOBs – 2020-21: 485, 2021-22 :371, 2022-23 : 112

  • Raising Speed during Non-Interlock from 15 kmph to 30 kmph.

  • Emphasis for Longer block sections in 3rd& 4th line.

  • Expediting Automatic Block Signalling & IBS: Low cost solution for improving line capacity. On date about 13000 RKM approved for ABS  on GQ Route is yet to be executed but annual progress of ABS in IR is about 100km only.

  • Improving speed of goods trains :

     

    • By conversion of Wagons from Single pipe into Twin pipe air brake system.

       

    • Segregation of Twin & Single pipe freight stock.

    • Removal of Permanent Speed Restrictions of less than 60 KMPH on Delhi-Mumbai route (14 removable out of 24 PSRs) and on Delhi-Howrah route (4 removable out of 24 PSRs)

       

    • Relaxation of 1st Loop line speed from 15 to 30 KMPH

Mission Raftar

  • Passenger Train operation:
    • Increase the speed of trains to 160kmph on Rajdhani Route and 130 kmph on other BG routes under Mission Raftar, requires raising of sectional speed of all these
    • Track geometry in Station Yard is critical not only for running of high-speed trains but also for preventing derailments. Hence all out efforts should be made to attend the track geometry in the yard.
  • Goods Train operation:
    • 9t axle load wagons at speed of 100/75 kmph over IR and 100/100 kmph over DFC.
    • 25t axle load wagon at speed of 100/75 kmph over Eastern DFC & 100/100 kmph over Western DFC
    • 32t axle load wagons at speed of 100kmph in loaded condition
